Switzerland

On to Switzerland and our stay in the Lauterbrunnen Valley. Neither my words nor my pictures even come close to conveying the beauty of the Alps.  Upon arrival, we tossed our bags in the room and immediately headed out for a walk before dinner.

After our walk in town, we joined the rest of the group on the patio for fondue followed by dinner. 

The following day was as close to perfect as possible.  We joined in the optional mountain hike.  It was a clear day with temps perfect for the hike.  

               The only description needed  - Breathtaking!

The second half of our free day in Switzerland was just as awesome as the first half.  After a quick bus ride to Stechelberg, we took the gondola lift to the charming village of Gimmelwald.  I totally understand why Rick Steves loves this place so much!
